Crystal Palace attacker has hailed his coach Roy Hodgson once more for instilling confidence in the team upon his return.
Following a series of poor results under former boss Patrick Viera, the London-based side reunited with Roy Hodgson a few weeks ago.
The Eagles have eventually reestablished their form following the appointment of Hodgson who was previously in charge between 2017 and 2021. Out of six matches under the English gaffer, Palace have won four including their recent 4-3 victory over West Ham on Saturday while drawing and losing either of the remaining two.
Jordan Ayew who opened the scoring for the team during their win over the Hammers has also played an integral role in resurging the club having scored three and assisted once. He however believes the team’s improvement is a result of the coach’s ability to motivate them.
“Roy [Hodgson] has come in and done a really good job. He has experience, calmness and we knew him before. He has given us belief to believe in our qualities and to express ourselves,” Ayew told BBC Sport after the victory over West Ham.
The Eagles are now 11th with 40 points after 34 matches. They will lock horns with Tottenham Hotspurs in another London Derby at the Tottenham Hotspurs Stadium on May 6.
