Ghanaian rap icon Sarkodie has raised concerns after the visualizer for his latest single, “Ibrahim Traore” featuring Worlasi, was flagged by TikTok as “ineligible for recommendation.”

The song, which is named after Burkina Faso’s President Captain Ibrahim Traoré, addresses issues surrounding Africa’s exploitation and the influence of Western powers on the continent. The accompanying visualizer was shared across Sarkodie’s social media platforms following the release of the track.

TikTok’s decision means the post will not be promoted through its recommendation system, limiting its reach to a wider audience on the platform. The reason behind the restriction, however, remains unclear.

Reacting to the flag, Sarkodie shared a screenshot of the notification on his Instagram Story, questioning the basis for the decision. “And for what reason is it not eligible to be recommended??” he wrote.
