Belgian champions Club Brugge have intensified their pursuit of Ghanaian forward Edmund Baidoo after reaching an agreement on personal terms with the RB Salzburg attacker.

The 20-year-old is keen on the move, with negotiations now centred on a transfer fee between the two clubs. Club Brugge have submitted an offer worth €9 million as discussions with Salzburg continue.

Baidoo has emerged as one of the most promising young Ghanaian forwards in Europe following an impressive 2025/26 season in Austria, where he scored five goals and provided three assists in 27 appearances across all competitions.

His performances attracted interest from a number of clubs across Europe, but Club Brugge have moved into pole position after agreeing personal terms with the player.

The Ghanaian has also carried his fine form into pre-season, recently finding the back of the net in RB Salzburg’s friendly victory over Ukrainian side Kharkiv.

Should the deal be finalised, Baidoo will make the switch to Belgium and join the reigning league champions as they prepare for another campaign in domestic competition and European football.
