Ghana captain Portia Boakye was named Woman of the Match after the Black Queens drew 1-1 with Mali in their final Group D fixture at the 2026 Womens Africa Cup of Nations.Her composed leadership and defensive contribution helped Ghana withstand a difficult second half and secure a place in the quarter-finals.The Black Queens entered the contest knowing that a victory would guarantee progress, while a draw could also be enough if their goal difference remained superior. The result left Ghana and Mali on four points, but Ghana advanced as Group D runners-up behind Cameroon because of their better goal difference.
