Sarkodie ‘runs’ to God after being criticised for buying Akwaboah’s album for GhC3,000[Video]

Ghanaian rap icon Sarkodie has found himself in the headlines once again, this time for his decision to purchase Highlife star Akwaboah’s “LightHouse Album” at a seemingly low price.

Sarkodie, who had previously signed Akwaboah to his SarkCess Music and collaborated with him on many of his hit songs, bought a copy of the album that was uploaded on a pen drive and came with a headset packaged in a bag for GhC3,000 during the auction.

This move has drawn criticism from some, who believe that the SarkCess Music CEO as a successful musician should have paid more to support his colleague and signee’s work.

Undeterred by the criticism, Sarkodie took to X to address the matter, posting a message that seemed to convey indifference to the negative comments.

In his tweet, Sarkodie wrote, “May We All Grow till we want God to take us out.”

This cryptic message has left many fans and observers wondering about Sarkodie’s true intentions. Some interpret it as a subtle response to the criticism, suggesting that the ‘Adonai’ rapper’s generosity is not motivated by external factors but rather by his own personal beliefs and values.
