Second Lady Samira Bawumia was praised on social media for her quick thinking when musician Kidi was about to commit a blunder at the recently held Africa Women and Children Conference (AFRIWOCC) Concert.
Kidi had walked into the waiting room to exchange pleasantries with the Second Lady, who was in the company of actors David Dontoh and Akofa Edjeani Asiedu.
After hugging the Second Lady, Kidi tried to move away, but she gave him a quick wink, signaling him to greet the other two people in the room. Kidi immediately understood and went over to greet Dontoh and Asiedu.
The Second Lady’s quick thinking and her respect for all people are an inspiration to us all.
The AFRIWOCC Concert was held to raise awareness about the impact of climate change on women and children. The event was organized by the Samira Empowerment and Humanitarian Projects (SEHP) under the auspices of the office of the President.
The two-day concert featured performances by a number of Ghanaian musicians, as well as speeches by government officials, policymakers, and experts.
The goal of the concert was to raise awareness about the issue of climate change and to advocate for policies that would protect women and children from its effects.
