The Black Stars are edging closer to a full squad in Cardiff, but four players are still expected to report to camp as preparations continue for Tuesday’s international friendly against Wales and the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Twenty-four players participated in Saturday’s training session at Dragon Park, with key duo Thomas Partey and Iñaki Williams becoming the latest arrivals to link up with the squad.

Their arrival provided a significant boost for head coach Carlos Queiroz, who is using the camp to fine-tune his team ahead of Ghana’s fifth appearance at the FIFA World Cup.

Despite the growing numbers in camp, four members of the provisional 28-man squad are yet to join their teammates in Wales. Defenders Alexander Djiku and Kojo Oppong Peprah, midfielder Augustine Boakye and forward Antoine Semenyo remain absent.

The Black Stars are expected to welcome the remaining players in the coming days as Queiroz continues his assessment of the squad ahead of the global showpiece.

Tuesday’s encounter against Wales at Cardiff City Stadium will serve as Ghana’s final match before the team departs for North America, where they will compete against Panama, England and Croatia in Group L.

With kick-off set for 6:45 pm, the friendly presents a valuable opportunity for players to stake their claim for places in the final World Cup squad as Ghana looks to build momentum ahead of the tournament.
