Senegal will host the 2026 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations from November 28 to December 6, with the dates confirmed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).The decision follows a virtual CAF Executive Committee meeting chaired by president, Patrice Motsepe on Friday, October 2, 2026.The tournament was moved from its initial November 715 window due to Senegals hosting of the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games from October 31 to November 13.Reigning champions Senegal have automatically qualified as hosts and will aim to win a sixth consecutive title on home sand.The eight-team tournament will also serve as Africas qualifier for the 2027 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, with the two finalists securing the continents two available places.Senegal have dominated the competition in recent years, winning the last five editions of the Beach Soccer AFCON. Their home advantage will add further expectation as they seek to extend their remarkable continental run.The remaining seven teams will be determined through the qualifying process, with nations across the continent battling for a place in the final tournament.For the participating teams, the competition will provide an opportunity to challenge Senegals dominance while also securing a place at the global stage.The World Cup qualification incentive is expected to add further importance to the knockout stages, as reaching the final will guarantee a place at the 2027 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.With the dates now confirmed, attention will turn to the qualifiers before Africas leading beach soccer nations converge in Senegal for the continental showpiece.
