Highlife legend, Gyedu-Blay Ambulley has chided Shatta Wale for going personal with his “Beef” with Stonebwoy.
He believes that it is high time the Dancehall artiste grows up. Gyedu-Blay Ambulley believes that it is normal to “beef” colleagues in the same industry, however, one needs to be mindful of the words they use while at it.
Gyedu-Blay Ambulley said it has been a thing for the music industry to help artistes stay relevant but cautioned that it should not be used by artistes to stay relevant.
“In my time we had it but it was not as too much now. Now because of the media and technology and everything so when you talk, it’s out there. It is a behaviour that was learned. We learned it from 2pac and Jay Zee, how they dress, how they beef because they think that when you do that it will help you be in the limelight.
But it is wrong because sometimes the words that you use while beefing with your friend might not be something that will bring any comfort. When I read and see what Shatta Wale is doing by trying to talk about the leg of Stonebwoy, I mean I think he needs to group,” he told Asaase Radio.
