Ghanaian youth side Shooting Stars have returned home after winning the Boys 18 category at the 2026 Gothia Cup in Sweden.
The talented youngsters secured the prestigious title with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Ireland’s Newbridge Town FC in the final, capping an impressive campaign at one of the world’s biggest youth football tournaments.
Shooting Stars displayed resilience and quality throughout the competition, overcoming strong opposition to reach the final before producing another outstanding performance to lift the trophy.
The triumph marks a significant achievement for the club and Ghanaian youth football, highlighting the country’s growing pool of talented young players capable of competing on the international stage.
