StarTimes has officially secured the broadcasting rights to broadcast the AFCON 2023 which will be taking place in Côte d’Ivoire on 13th January, 2024.
StarTimes’ package rights extend beyond the AFCON 2023 as they also secured the rights to broadcast all of CAF’s events in 2024 including the AFCON 2025. This initiative opens the relationship between StarTimes and CAF in a good way, going forward.
StarTimes’ ability to acquire full rights to Broadcast the AFCON 2023 outlines their willingness to support and promote sports on the African continent. Their partnership with CAF dates back to 2019-2022 AFCON and the 2020 CHAN.
The General Manager, Mrs. Akofa Banson expressed her excitement in their commitment to partner CAF in delivering captivating scenes to viewers and followers of the AFCON.
