Vice President and Flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has assured traders at the Arts Centre in Accra that government will not relocate them from the Centre.

During a tour of the Centre as part of his campaign tour of the  Klottey Korley Constituency in Accra, Dr. Bawumia said the Ghana Tourism Authority is engaging stakeholders to finalise the needed documents for their stay at the Centre which will soon be signed by all parties, including the leadership of the traders, to give them full access to the Centre, even when the Marine Drive Development project starts.

Prior to the visit to the Klottey Korley Constituency, Dr Bawumia toured the Ledzekuku Constituency on Thursday morning to engage with several stakeholders in the Constituency.

From Ledzekoku, the Presidential Candidate for the NPP Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, took his campaign trail to the La Dadekotopon Constituency.

Dr. Bawumia in the company of the NPP Parliamentary Candidate in the constituency, Joseph Addo, first paid a courtesy call on the La Regent, Nii Adjei Kofeh. From there, Dr. Bawumia and his Possibility Campaign Team moved to the 37 Military Lorry Station to interact with the drivers and passengers at the station. He used the opportunity to explain to the people why he is a better candidate to be elected as the President of Ghana.

The Possibility Campaign Trail from the La Dadekotopon Constituency moved to the  Klottey Korley Constituency. His first port of call was the Arts Centre which is one of the biggest outdoor market places for traditional and cultural souvenirs and gifts.

Dr. Bawumia moved from shop to shop to interact with the traders at the Centre. He also spent time with the  Head Porters popularly known as kayayei at the Art Centre. The major concern for the traders is the relocation of the Centre to Kawukudi, a suburb in Accra. Interacting with them, Dr. Bawumia assured the traders that they will not be relocated from the centre.

Dr. Bawumia also had a brief engagement with the traditional leaders, religious leaders, traders and other opinion leaders in the constituency.

The Presidential Candidate wrapped up his tour at the Korle Klottey Constituency with a Community Connect at the Odawna Pedestrian Mall. Thousands of party supporters gathered at the venue to listen to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and his team.

The Parliamentary Candidates for Ledzekuku Dr. Benard Oko Boye and Korley KlotteyNii Noi Nortey, had a word for the constituents, imploring them not to vote for possibilities.

Dr. Bawumia said he will introduce  holistic solutions that will address most of Ghana’s economic challenges.

The Possibility Campaign Trail is expected to be at Trobo Constituency on Friday, 13th September.
