Aston Villa manager Unai Emery has committed his future to the club by extending his contract until 2027.
Emery took charge of Villa in November 2022 when the team was struggling in 16th place in the Premier League.
Under his guidance, the club experienced a remarkable transformation, finishing the season in seventh place and securing qualification for the Europa Conference League, marking their return to European football after more than a decade.
In the current campaign, Villa finds themselves in a strong position, sitting fourth in the Premier League table and eyeing a coveted Champions League qualification spot.
Despite being six points ahead of Tottenham, who have two games in hand, Villa remains focused on their objective.
The decision to extend Emery’s contract was triggered by an option in the existing agreement, and the club intends to engage in discussions with the manager during the summer regarding a longer-term deal.

Emery’s position could be further solidified if he guides Villa to success in the Europa Conference League, with the team set to face Olympiakos in the semi-finals.
His impressive track record in European competitions, including winning the Europa League multiple times with Sevilla and Villarreal, adds weight to Villa’s ambitions.
Emery’s tenure at Arsenal may have been viewed as less successful, but his impact at Villa has been undeniable.
Since his appointment, Villa have accumulated 115 points in the Premier League, showcasing a remarkable points-per-game ratio of 1.95.
With important fixtures against Chelsea, Brighton, Liverpool, and Crystal Palace remaining, Villa remain determined to secure a place in the Champions League for the first time since the 1982-83 season.
