Vice-President Mark Addo Visits Black Maidens in Camp

Vice-President, Mark Addo, paid a morale-boosting visit to the Black Maidens, Ghana’s National Female Under-17 team, currently in camp in Bibiani.

The team is undergoing a five-week intensive training program, generously sponsored by AsanteGold Bibiani Ltd, as they prepare for upcoming international events, including qualification matches for continental competitions.

During his visit, Mr. Addo conveyed the heartfelt appreciation of President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, to the Management of AsanteGold Bibiani Limited for their invaluable support.

“We are grateful for the commitment shown by AsanteGold Bibiani Ltd towards the development of women’s football in Ghana,” Mr. Addo stated.

“The sponsorship has enabled us to provide the necessary resources for the team’s preparation.”

Under the guidance of Coach Joe Nana Adarkwa, the recently reconstituted Black Maidens have been in camp for approximately three weeks, fine-tuning their skills and building team chemistry.

Mr. Addo encouraged the players to remain focused and dedicated to their craft, emphasising the importance of teamwork and discipline.

The Black Maidens’ preparations are targeted at qualifying for major international tournaments, including the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
