Captain for the Futsal National Team – Timothy Kantanka – has disclosed that he, together with his team mates, are ready for the 2024 Futsal African Cup of Nations which kicks off in Morocco on Thursday.
Ghana will battle Zambia, Angola and hosts Morocco in Group A in the tournament they have missed out since their last appearance in 1996.
Kantanka led the side to secure their historic qualification to the tournament after overturning a 4-0 first leg defeat in Ghana against Ivory Coast.
After weeks of preparations and pre-tournament friendlies, Kantanka is optimistic Ghanaians will be proud of the team at the tournament.
“Preparations have been good and we are ready for the tournament. We expect a victorious tournament. Qualification to the World Cup is our target and then we will think about winning the trophy,” Kantanka disclosed.
