Hearts of Oak defender Kelvin Osei Asibey has expressed confidence ahead of their Ghana Premier League encounter against Karela United at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Phobians head into the match on the back of a crucial 1-0 victory over Nations FC, with Mawuli Wayo scoring the decisive goal to return the side to winning ways.
That result has lifted Hearts of Oak to third position on the league table with 49 points, leaving them seven points behind the leaders as the season enters a decisive stage.
Ahead of the clash, head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has been rallying his side, with the team aiming to build consistency and maintain their push up the table.
“Karela are a very good side. We have played them in different seasons, and this season too we went to Tamale and lost that game. We saw how they played, and coming into this game we have prepared very well to meet them,” he said.
“What we have been taught at the training grounds is what we are going to showcase on the field. Hearts supporters in Ghana and across the globe have been faithful to us, and their support is massive to us. Going into this game, I will urge each and everyone to come in their numbers to support us and to cheer us up.”
The game is slated for 15:00GMT (3:00pm) at the Ohene Gyan Stadium.
