A National Communications team member of the New Patriotic Party, Jamil Abdullah has expressed that, without a formidable database system in the country, the attainment of a better Ghana can never see light.
“We cannot develop a proper mother Ghana if we don’t have a proper database system”, he said.
According to him, in order to have the country moving in the right direction, a well-formulated database system is needed, and that is what the NPP government through the Vice President, is rolling out lots of digital systems and database systems.
He made this statement on GTV’s Breakfast Show on May 31, 2023.
Mr. Abdul shared his stance on the deadline given to Ghanaians with regard to their SIM registration as a very necessary move.
He mentioned that some Ghanaians deliberately ignored the notifications and warnings that were sent to the public.
He further added that people who had the opportunity to have their SIM cards registered didn’t do so and blamed it on the long queue.
He, therefore, opined that people are always creating excuses for not being able to register their SIM cards.
Mr. Jamil stressed that, there will still be some Ghanaians who will not register their SIM cards should there be multiple extensions of deadlines.
