President John Dramani Mahama has clarified that the government has not banned preaching in buses, but only prohibits preaching and trading in moving vehicles.

He says the restriction is intended to protect the safety of passengers, preachers, traders and drivers.

The President explained that preaching is permitted when buses are stationary at bus terminals, but must stop once the vehicles begin moving.
