The Founding President of IMANI Africa, Franklin Cudjoe, says one of its Vice Presidents Kofi Bentil, remains part of the organisation, despite declaring his support for one of the flag bearers.
In a statement, Mr. Cudjoe said individual wishes and preferences, however expressed or communicated, will always be overridden by the collective mandate they have carved for the organization.
He said this will not affect the organisation’s objective, independent analysis and critique of many issues within an environment that guarantees individual freedom and liberty.
Mr. Cudjoe said, “IMANI has enormous respect for all flag bearers of Political Parties.”
Mr. Kofi Bentil, in a Facebook post, expressed his preference for NPP Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, in this year’s election.
Mr. Bentil said he does not doubt that Dr Bawumia will be a better President, a comment that generated heated arguments in the political space.
