The Minister of Communications. Ursula Owusu, has denied that the ongoing power crisis in Ghana can be attributed to dumsor.
According to her, what Ghanaians are now facing is simply normal light off and light on, which should be separated from dumsor which occurs whenever there is an extended period of light off.
She made the comments in an interview to reply to criticism the government was facing after there was dumsor during a press briefing at her ministry.
The public dumsor brought embarrassment to the Ministry hence she was questioned for it, leading to her answer.
Social media users were not too pleased with her claim and dragged her for insulting the intelligence of Ghanaians.
“So this woman knows that’s light off has been there since before Mahama took office? smh 🤦🏿♀️ hypocrisy,” another said.
