Sebastian Villasenor is an 18-year-old student of Ontario Christian High School accused of planning a mass shooting.

In this article, we break down all there is to know about his story.

Who is Sebastian Villasenor?

Sebastian Villasenor is an 18-year-old student at Ontario Christian High School who was arrested and charged with multiple counts of attempted murder and criminal threats after police uncovered his alleged plan to carry out a school shooting.

Sebastian Villasenor of Eastvale was taken into custody on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2024, after another student reported him to the school officials for showing signs of being fixated on school shootings and having access to weapons.

Police searched Villasenor’s home and found a cache of firearms, including seven rifles, two revolvers, one handgun, one shotgun and more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition.

According to the police, Villasenor had researched school shootings, tactical supplies and police response times, and had selected five students as his intended targets.

He also contemplated a sixth victim, based on his social interactions with them.

Police said Villasenor was not bullied or harassed but had difficulties forming relationships with other students.

They also said he may have been planning to carry out his attack around April 20, which is the anniversary of the 1999 Columbine High School massacre in Colorado.

Villasenor was arraigned on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024, and pleaded not guilty to all charges. He is being held without bail at the West Valley Detention Center.

Ontario Christian High School, a private school with about 1,200 students, expressed gratitude to the student who alerted the authorities, the police who acted swiftly, and God for preventing a tragedy.

“We’re grateful that this is not another version of this story,” said Jason Gaudy, president of the Ontario Christian School Association Board.

School Principal Ben Dykhouse said the school was providing counseling and support to the students and staff, and was reviewing its safety protocols and procedures.

He also said the school was praying for Villasenor and his family, and hoped he would receive the help he needed.

“We are a community of faith, and we believe in the power of forgiveness and redemption,” Dykhouse said.
