Ghanaian musician Kelvyn Boy has revealed that Afrobeats star Wizkid once showed interest in collaborating on a remix of his hit track Down Flat.
Speaking during a live stream with Ghanaian content creator Made In Ghana, he said the Nigerian singer was enthusiastic about both the remix and a possible music video project.
“You know Baba Wiz wanted to do a remix of Down Flat that time” he shared.
According to Kelvyn Boy, the conversation about the collaboration came at a time when Down Flat was gaining significant popularity. He noted that Wizkid had expressed a desire to be part of the record and even showed interest in shooting visuals for the remix.

However, the collaboration did not materialise. Kelvyn Boy explained that plans were halted following the death of Wizkid’s mother during that period, which understandably shifted the artiste’s focus away from music projects.
