The 34-year-old has featured in three editions of the tournament 2014, 2022 and 2026 and may have played his final match on football’s biggest stage.Ayew finished the tournament as one of Ghana’s most experienced figures, leading a young squad that showed defensive resilience but lacked cutting edge in attack.The Black Stars will now turn their attention to the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, with Queiroz expected to continue his project of reshaping the team.For Ayew and his teammates, the message is clear: progress takes time, and the foundations laid in the United States may yet bear fruit.
