Popular Ghanaian comic actor and football administrator, Samuel Yaw Dabo has made a heartfelt plea to European football giants Real Madrid and prominent football agent Jorge Mendes, urging them to explore the possibility of forming a collaborative partnership with his academy.

The aim of this proposed alliance is to facilitate the growth and nurturing of young and promising talent in Ghana, particularly in the Dabo Soccer Academy.

The famous Kumawood actor was speaking to Spanish media outlet Marca having initially impressed the world with his humourous analysis last week following Real Madrid and Manchester City’s stalemate in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semifinals.

“I have workers, coaches, and caterers to support the football team. I have everybody. I came to Europe to find a solution to support my academy,” he told Marca.

“I have a U14, U15, U16, U17 and U18, so I want support and maybe from this interview I can get opportunities and maybe partnerships with Real Madrid, or other big teams.

“You have to start from somewhere. Maybe I get an opportunity from lower divisions, I’m okay with that.

“Or maybe Jorge Mendes. Jorge Mendes is doing a lot for children, so maybe he is listening to me and can come and help my academy.”

Dabo envisions this partnership as a significant step towards fostering the development of football in his country, providing aspiring players with valuable opportunities to excel and thrive.

Dabo’s presence in Spain to watch the Real Madrid-City game was part of a European tour that has seen him engage with a number of football stakeholders in France (Paris Saint Germain) Germany (Borussia Dortmund) and the Netherlands where he met Black Stars player Mohammed Kudus who plies his trade for Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam.

Meanwhile, his beloved Real Madrid lost woefully in the second leg as Manchester City thrashed them 4-0 at the Etihad on Wednesday night to set up a final with three time champions Inter Milan
