The Chiefs and people of Nawuri and Nchumuru traditional area have commended Vice President and flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, for his role in ensuring development in the area.
Welcoming Dr. Bawumia to Kpandai Friday morning during his campaign tour of the area, Paramount Chiefs of the two traditional area, in a statement, said Vice President Bawumia has excelled in assisting President Akuf-Addo.
They further said Dr. Bawumia has made a significant impact in the area in terms of development.
“The people of Kpandai are proud of you for the role you have played as Vice President in helping His Excellency to implement policies that address inequalities in the country”, the Chiefs told Dr. Bawumia.
They added; “Your administration has demonstrated to the people of Kpandai that equality is a hallmark to you.’
The Chiefs also stressed that his mandate as Vice President ‘has brought significant development in the Kpandai district”.
“The free Senior High School policy is the biggest social intervention this country has ever had. This has brought about an increase in secondary education enrollment in the history of this country.”
“Kpandai has received a lot of development across the district in education, health, agriculture, among others. Kpandai senior high school has two new storey class room blocks and over 7000 furniture and other classroom blocks across the district.”
“On health, Kpandai is also benefitting from the Agenda 111 Hospital which is about 65% complete, and a number of chips compound across the district.’
“In agriculture, Kpandai also benefitted from the one district one factory, water harvesting rice field at Lonto and Jangbai. On peace and security, the government has put up a district magistrate court building, a one storey police office and a district fore office in Kpandai…On the part of electricity, the District has over 95% coverage, just to mention a few.”
The Chiefs however requested an improvement in their road networks, especially the road linking Kpandai to Krachi as well as improved water system to meet the growing population of the area.
The Chiefs wished Dr. Bawumia well and assured him of their unflinching support.
“Continue to be who we have known you to be and your humility will send you far. Concentrate on your 70 point vision for the country. Dr, it is possible.”
“We want to thank you and assure you that, we as a people, will demonstrate that the breaking of the 8 is possible.”
