The Ghana Library Authority (GLA) will have to scrutinize Yvonne Nelson’s recently published book, “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson,” before it can be stocked in Ghana’s public libraries.
Executive Director of the GLA, Hayford Siaw, said in an interview with Johnnie Hughes on 3FM Sunrise Morning Show that the book will have to go through an approval process before it can be added to the GLA’s collection.
“It has to go through an approval process which has not been done and so once the acquisition team looks at it and make a recommendation why not?” Siaw said.
He explained that the GLA has an acquisition team that scrutinizes materials to ascertain their appropriateness and also establish which of the target group will benefit from the material.
“Of course it is an interesting read from what I have learned so far,” Siaw added.
The book, which was released last month, has caused a stir in Ghana due to its controversial revelations about Nelson’s love affairs, including her relationship with award-winning artiste Sarkodie.
