Ghanaian musician cum film director, Nicholas Tetteh Nartey widely known as Big Ghun’s co-directed movie, Leaked, became the only movie that gave Ghana award at this year’s Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCAs) after picking the MultiChoice Talent Factory award
Big Ghun’s latest feat comes a year after his show film, KORO was nominated in the Best Short Film category at last year’s awards ceremony.
Big Ghun’s win is quite historic considering that this is the first time a winner is coming from West Africa.
He was also full of praises for his co-director, Andrea Peregrino for her great input in making the production a success.
“Leak’s co-director is a Nigerian and she was quite instrumental in the success of this production. I’m quite excited to know that we are both young filmmakers and this is encouraging for Africa’s film industry,” he said.
