Their title defense has been derailed by inconsistency as they have failed to win two matches on the spin this term.Last weekends win over Accra Lions for instance was preceded by defeat to Vision FC.The Timber Giants have been a shadow of themselves and they occupy 9th position in the league standings with 35 points, 11 adrift league-leading Asante Kotoko.Christopher Ennin’s team may not be in contention for the title but a win could inspire them to mount a strong finish to the campaign.Cities are in trouble and would also be keen on a victory as they battle for survival.Acheampong admitted in a pre-match interview with LEGON CITIES tv that Samartex are a “very good side” but was confident “everything will work according to plan. ”
