Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa says 28 Ghanaians have been rescued from Côte d’Ivoire and repatriated home after falling victim to a human trafficking network.
In a post on X, he said the victims were lured with promises of travel to Europe, described by traffickers as “paradise”, after paying large sums of money. He said they were brought back to Ghana safely following what he described as a “special operation”.
