Accra Lions forward Seidu Bassit has revealed his admiration for Manchester City’s star striker Erling Haaland after scoring four goals in his team’s victory over title contenders Medeama last Friday.

Bassit’s remarkable performance helped Lions secure a 4-2 win, with the 19-year-old becoming the first player to score four goals in a single match in the Ghanaian top flight this season. His tally now stands at six goals.

During the post-match press conference, Bassit was asked which player he looks up to, and he didn’t hesitate to name Haaland as his role model. “Haaland, of course. He is strong, and physical and I try to play like him. He inspires me a lot,” Bassit said.

Bassit’s fourth goal of the match was a typical Haaland finish, with the young forward showing strength and composure to find the back of the net. The Norwegian striker has been in sensational form this season, scoring 48 goals in 42 appearances across all competitions.
