Final preparations are complete as The1957News gears up to host its maiden Digital Media Creators Networking and Capacity Building Conference today in the capital.
The event, scheduled to start at 10:00 AM prompt, will take place at the Conclave Meetings and Events, Roots Hotel Apartments, located at 15th Lane, Osu RE.
Joyce Bawah Mogtari, Presidential Adviser and Special Aide to President John Dramani Mahama, is expected to grace the occasion as the Special Guest of Honour.
A strong lineup of speakers has been assembled for the conference. They include Samuel Nartey George, Minister of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation, Jerry Ahmed Shaib, Deputy Minority Whip, and Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Member of Parliament for Ofoase-Ayirebi Constituency. Popular broadcaster and brand influencer Berla Mundi is also among the speakers.
Other notable participants slated to speak are Kwadwo Sheldon, Founder of Kwadwo Sheldon Studios, Osman Ayariga, CEO of the National Youth Authority, Malik Basintale, CEO of the Youth Employment Agency, and Prof. Etse Sikanku, Associate Professor and Dean of the School of Journalism and Media Studies at UniMAC.
Also joining the list of speakers are Dr. Bright Senanu, Acting Head of the Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship at UniMAC, Dr. Nii Nookwei Tackie, Programmes Director at the Faculty of Business and Strategic Communication, UniMAC, and Dr. Ike Tandoh, a brands communication, political branding specialist and Senior Lecturer at UniMAC.
The one-day conference aims to equip digital content creators and media practitioners with practical skills needed to thrive in Ghana’s rapidly evolving digital media space. It will also provide a valuable platform for networking and fostering meaningful connections between content creators, policymakers, academics, and other industry stakeholders.
