The Director of Public Health of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA), Mrs. Florence S. Kuukyi and the President of the Ghana Environmental Health Officers Association (GEHOA, Mr. Emmanuel K. Gmanab have been inducted as Fellows into the West Africa Postgraduate College of Environmental Health.
The induction ceremony of the two Ghanaians who have distinguished themselves in the field of environmental health took place at WAPCEH’s 2024 annual conference held in Lomé, Togo, from September 8-14, 2024.
Mrs Kuukyi and Mr. Gmanab as fellows of the college will serve as leaders, give mentorship to young environmental health professionals, and students, and contribute to research, and educational policy of the college.
In addition, the two (Mrs Kuukyi and Mr. Gmanab) will undergo two years of postgraduate courses in environmental health at the college.
WAPCEH, founded in 2015, aims to produce world-class Environmental Health Specialists and is supervised by the West African Health Organization (WAHO).
