Self-styled activist and NDC fanatic, Frank Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as Appiah Stadium, has responded to a viral video circulating on social media involving his interaction with prominent businessman Dr Osei Kwame Despite.

The footage, which was shared widely online captured a moment at the funeral of the late business magnate, Alhaji Asoma Abu Banda. In the clip, Appiah Stadium is heard telling Despite, “Gyae wo nsem hunu,” a Twi phrase meaning “stop that nonsense” or “stop misbehaving.”

The comment sparked widespread backlash, with many social media users accusing the outspoken social commentator of being rude and disrespectful.

However, Appiah Stadium has refuted those claims, explaining that his words have been misinterpreted.

According to him, the exchange was lighthearted and not meant to offend.

“It was just a fun moment between a rich man and a poor man. We were joking. How can anyone say I was insulting Dr. Osei Kwame Despite? That’s not true. I would never do such a thing,” he emphasised.

He further explained that he was only telling Dr. Despite about a video he had made in which he praised him, and that the conversation was taken out of context.

Appiah Stadium also expressed disappointment in certain bloggers, accusing them of intentionally trying to damage his image.

He warned that if such attempts to tarnish his reputation continue, he will not hesitate to take serious action.
