Following a year defined by MAYHEM’s opulent theatricality and scale, Gaga reimagines the album for an intimate, one-night-only performance filmed live on January 14 at The Wiltern in Los Angeles. When the global artist set off on The MAYHEM Ball, an international tour in support of her Grammy Award-winning seventh album MAYHEM, she traveled the globe with her own opera house in tow. Executive produced by Gaga and Michael Polansky, the tour combined large-scale staging, narrative-driven elements, and couture-inspired fashion, with a storyline that explored themes of duality, death, and rebirth. Each night, the columns and ornate finishes of this surreal and gorgeous theater’s facade served as the backdrop for her journey into the madness of MAYHEM. But now the opera house has been reduced to rubble—and it’s time to pay our respects and prepare for MAYHEM’s final act.

For Apple Music Live, Gaga presents MAYHEM Requiem, a celebration and musical reimagining of MAYHEM. The phantom of her own gothic opera, she spends most of the intimate evening at The Wiltern in Los Angeles at the piano or synths, where she helms reimagined arrangements of “Abracadabra,” “Disease,” and the rest of its tracklist among the cracked columns and scattered ruins of the MAYHEM Ball.

MAYHEM Requiem is both a perfect companion to the original album and a singular experience. The companion album will be available in Spatial Audio on Apple Music on May 15, allowing listeners to experience the performance as if they were there.

Marking a return to Gaga’s pop roots, MAYHEM reaffirmed that Gaga is a master of reinvention, crafting an album that is as bold and eclectic as it is deeply personal.  Executive produced by Gaga, Michael Polansky, and Andrew Watt and produced by Gaga, Watt, Cirkut, and Gesaffelstein, the album debuted at No. 1 on the  Billboard 200, marking Gaga’s seventh consecutive solo album to do so.  It remained a dominant global force, topping the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums chart for 17 weeks, while spending 12 weeks in the Top 20 of the Billboard 200.  The record topped the charts in 26 countries, was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America and received gold and platinum certifications in several other territories.

Her collaboration with Bruno Mars, “Die With a Smile,” further amplified the album’s impact, spending 18 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200, five weeks at No. 1 the Hot 100, and topping the charts in more than 30 countries, including the United States, Canada, New Zealand, and the Netherlands.

MAYHEM won the 2026 Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album and earned multiple nominations, including Album of the Year, while also garnering a Song of the Year nomination for “Abracadabra,” and a Best Pop Solo Performance nomination for “Disease.”
