Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Mark Okraku-Mantey, failed in his bid to become the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the Ayensuano constituency in the Eastern Region.

He secured 136 votes, while Ida Adwoa Asiedu emerged victorious with 410 votes. In the Adentan Constituency, Akosua Manu (Kozie), Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana National Youth Authority, won the parliamentary candidacy with 814 votes, surpassing her closest contender, Kwasi Obeng Fosu, who received 638 votes.
