The 24-year-old artiste shared the update on her Instagram Story on Thursday, saying the procedure had been “more complicated than they expected.” She added that she had initially hoped for a quick recovery but now needs additional time to rest.
Ayra Starr did not disclose the nature of the surgery or provide further details about her health. She reassured supporters that she is recovering and plans to return to work once she has regained her strength, “I just need a bit of rest and I’ll be back!!!” she wrote.
The singer also used the message to promote her forthcoming project, Starrgirl, urging fans to continue spreading the word about its release.
