Spanish giants, FC Barcelona are optimistic about their chances of signing talented winger Nico Williams in the summer transfer window.
As already reported by Footballghana, the La Liga outfit has made the Spain forward of Ghanaian descent a transfer target to improve their squad for next season.
Sources in Spain have in the last 24 hours indicated that Barcelona officials are already working to make the transfer happen.
The club believes it will be able to reach a deal with Athletic Club to poach Nico Williams before the start of next season.
Currently, Nico Williams has a €55 million release clause in his contract that can be triggered by FC Barcelona.
The forward has been in top form in the past year, making him one of the most exciting forwards in Europe.
In the 2023/24 Spanish La Liga season, Nico Williams has scored four goals and provided 10 assists after making 29 appearances.
Besides Barcelona, he is a target of several top clubs including Liverpool.
