It was all joy and excitement at the 2023 Citi FM Foundation’s Easter Orphan Project donation event at the Baptist School Complex Orphanage (BASCO) at Trotor (near Suhum) in the Eastern Region.

Students of the orphanage welcomed both visiting donors and residents of the Trotor town with stellar music, dance, and drama performances.

The crucifixion and resurrection story of Jesus Christ was dramatised after a pick-and-act session that left the students of the school wanting more.

The appreciation of the orphanage for the Citi FM Foundation’s act of benevolence was expressed with musical performances.

Citi TV/Citi FM donated a cash amount of GH¢30,000 and some assorted items to the school on Easter Monday as part of the Citi FM Foundation annual Easter Orphan Project.

Items donated included books, several boxes of bananas, rice, gari, maize, sugar, milk, drinks, detergents, and toys.

Head of Events and Partnership at Citi FM/Citi TV, Frema Adunyame who did the official handing over of the items to BASCO said” “Citi FM and Citi TV have taken it upon themselves to give back to society and that is why we always come back to BASCO for this worthy cause. We are sure this will be impactful because we have succeeded in putting smiles on the faces of these children. We are very excited that this will go a long way to lessen the burden as you manage the facility.”

The Easter Orphan Project by the Citi FM Foundation also happened simultaneously at the Tamale Children’s Home at Nyoni, Tamale and the King Jesus Charity Home in Kumasi.

Since the Citi FM Foundation adopted BASCO in 2005, it has benefited from yearly gifts, significant initiatives, and mentoring every Easter Monday.
