Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has vowed that the next NPP government would prioritize job creation for Ghanaians, emphasizing that every governmental initiative will be geared towards delivering employment opportunities for the populace.
This commitment was made during a community engagement event at Elubo in the Western Region.
According to Dr. Prempeh, the focus of the Bawumia government will predominantly be on generating employment. He highlighted that the groundwork for job creation has already been laid through initiatives such as free Senior High School (SHS) education, which aims to nurture the talents of students, and technical and vocational education and training (TVET) programs that equip the youth with the necessary skills for future employment.
The running mate outlined ambitious plans for the next NPP administration, including the construction of 111 hospitals, which is anticipated to result in the creation of over 67,000 jobs within the health sector alone. Additionally, “Dr. Bawumia intends to provide ICT training for one million young individuals, creating numerous job opportunities and expanding employment options significantly.” Dr Prempeh echoed.
The running mate emphasized that increased job opportunities would not only benefit individuals but also boost the economy through enhanced purchasing power.
Dr. Prempeh urged voters to support Dr. Bawumia and the NPP presidential candidates, and parliamentary candidates and underscored that their vote would help secure the implementation of these impactful programs and ensure a brighter future for Ghana.
