Bazal Art Studios (babies by bazal) a leading family photography brand in Ghana, has successfully concluded the maiden edition of the Creative Entrepreneurship Fellowship (CEF), a five-day programme designed to equip creatives with the entrepreneurial skills needed to build sustainable businesses.
The Fellowship brought together creatives from various fields for practical sessions on entrepreneurship, branding, marketing, finance, leadership, customer experience, health and wellness and the legal aspects of running a creative enterprise. Participants also connected with industry leaders during the Creative Connect Networking Cocktail after graduating at an Impact Awards and Certification Ceremony.
The Fellowship also served as the official launch of KASA Africa Academy of Creative Excellence, the educational arm of Bazal Art Studios. CEF Cohort One is the Academy’s first training programme and marks the beginning of a broader vision to provide industry-focused education for creatives across Ghana and Africa.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Founder of Bazal Art Studios and KASA Africa Academy, Lawrencia Bazal Darko, explained that the Fellowship was born out of her unique journey as both a lawyer and a creative entrepreneur.

“As a lawyer working in the creative industry, I’ve seen that talent alone is not enough. Many gifted creatives struggle, not because they lack ability, but because they haven’t been equipped with the business knowledge, systems and structures needed to build sustainable enterprises. This Fellowship was created to bridge that gap.”
She added that the initiative is also intended to challenge the long-held perception that meaningful employment is limited to traditional white-collar professions.
“We want young people to see that with the right training, discipline and entrepreneurial mindset, the creative industry can become a powerful source of employment, wealth creation and economic growth. Creativity is not just a talent, it is a viable career and business opportunity.”
Following the success of its inaugural cohort, KASA Africa Academy of Creative Excellence is set to roll out more programmes focused on developing the next generation of creative entrepreneurs, reinforcing Bazal Art Studios’ commitment to advancing Ghana’s creative economy through education, mentorship and innovation.
