Asante Kotoko midfielder Enock Morrison is convinced that the team’s triumph over Bechem United on Wednesday will boost their confidence for the crucial match against Hearts of Oak this weekend.
Kotoko had been winless for three games until they defeated the hunters with a stunning goal scored by the 23-year-old.
Morrison, who previously played for King Faisal, thinks that this victory is crucial in refining their preparations for the upcoming Super Clash against Hearts of Oak.
“We needed this point very badly. We came into the game fully prepared and mentally tough [ready] that we need to get these three points at all costs. It will ginger us and motivate us in our next game. It’s a big match but not too big for us. We are capable. We know what we can do so we are okay,” Morrison told the press.
The Porcupine Warriors will trade tackles with the Phobians for the second time this season, after a 1-1 draw at Baba Yara Stadium earlier in the season.
The match will also be known as the President’s Cup after the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) and the Ghana Football Football Association (GFA) reached an agreement last week with other stakeholders.
