Ghana’s Black Maidens are set to kick off their campaign in the inaugural WAFU Zone B U-17 Girls Cup against Benin on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence, Prampram.
According to Coach Joe Nana Adarkwa, the team has been preparing tirelessly for close to two months in Bibiani and Prampram. Speaking ahead of the opening game, Coach Adarkwa emphasized the importance of their preparation and expressed confidence in his team’s readiness for the championship.
“We have been in camp for about six weeks now and so far preparation is going on well and we are ready for the tournament” Joe Nana Adrakwa told ghanafa.org.
‘’As at now I do not know much about our opponents but we start the competition, we shall get to see them more. The technical team has everything in place and we are ready for any match and take all points at stake.”
“There will definitely be pressure on us as host and a lot of people will be expecting us to win. My girls are ready to play and that’s the most important aspect of this tournament for me” he added.
The opening game will kick off at 15H00 at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence at Prampram on Thursday, December 12, 2024.
