Ghanas Black Queens will face Mauritius in the second round of the African qualifiers for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.The Black Queens will travel to Mauritius for the first leg on Thursday, October 8, 2026, before hosting their opponents in the return fixture in Ghana on Tuesday, October 13.Mauritius booked their place in the second round after eliminating Djibouti 3-1 on aggregate in the preliminary round.They won the first leg 2-1 at home before securing a 1-0 victory in the return fixture to complete a 3-1 aggregate triumph.Ghana, one of Africas top-ranked womens national teams, were among 29 countries to receive a bye through the preliminary round and will enter the competition at the second of five knockout stages.The Black Queens are yet to qualify for the Olympic Games, making the 2028 qualification campaign another opportunity to end their long wait for an Olympic appearance.A successful two-legged tie against Mauritius would move Ghana closer to securing a place at the Los Angeles Games, with four more knockout rounds standing between the Black Queens and Olympic qualification.
