Ghana’s Black Satellites have been drawn into Group A of the upcoming African Games alongside The Gambia, Benin, and Congo.

The draw for the men’s and women’s football competitions took place on Thursday, February 1, and was conducted by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

Group B consists of Nigeria, South Sudan, Senegal, Uganda, and Tunisia, with the top two teams from each group set to advance to the semi-finals.

The African Games, a multi-sport event, is scheduled to take place from Friday, March 8 to Saturday, March 23.

Coach Desmond Ofei’s side are currently in camp at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence as they prepare for the competition.

Ghana, led by former Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah, won gold at the 2011 edition of the African Games after beating South Africa 4-2 on penalties in the final.
