Bochum sports director Marc Lettau has praised the signing of former AZ Alkmaar striker Myron Boadu, highlighting his technical abilities and finishing prowess.

The 23-year-old has joined the German side on a one-year loan from AS Monaco, with Bochum holding a purchase option of around ten million euros for next summer.

Bochum’s sports director, Marc Lettau, expressed his excitement about the signing, stating, “Myron is exactly the type of player we were looking for: a dynamic and powerful striker, technically adept and a strong finisher.”

Boadu, who joined Monaco four years ago for €17 million, will have the chance to prove himself in Germany after a challenging stint in France marked by serious recurring injuries.

Despite these setbacks, Myron Boadu has demonstrated his goal-scoring potential, netting three goals in his first eight appearances for loan club Twente Enschede last season.

Myron Boadu’s loan deal includes a purchase option for Bochum, reportedly set at €10 million, which could be triggered next summer. The talented striker, who has one international cap for the Netherlands, will be eager to regain his form and fitness in the German Bundesliga.

His experience and skill could play a vital role in VfL Bochum’s campaign as they seek to strengthen their attacking lineup for the upcoming season.
