Bolt Ghana has commended one of its drivers, Albert Quansah, for his remarkable honesty and integrity after he returned GH₵38,600 which was accidentally transferred to his mobile money account by a rider.
The incident occurred when the rider, intending to send money to a partner, mistakenly sent the substantial sum to Albert. Recognizing the mistake, Albert resisted the temptation to keep the funds and took immediate steps to ensure the money was returned to its rightful owner.
“The money could have solved many of my problems, but I knew I couldn’t keep it because it wasn’t mine,” Albert explained.
Albert made several attempts to reach the rider and, after successfully meeting with him, helped return the money. In appreciation of his honesty, the rider offered to cover Albert’s daily target of GH₵700 and shared the heartwarming story on social media, where it quickly gained viral attention.
The post sparked widespread praise for Albert, leading to additional donations from Ghanaians both at home and abroad.
In recognition of his commendable actions, Bolt Ghana presented Albert with a sound system and an undisclosed cash reward.
Speaking at the presentation, Henry Whyte, Acting Country Manager for Bolt Ghana, lauded Albert’s integrity, saying, “Albert’s actions embody the values we strive for at Bolt. His honesty and selflessness are an inspiration, and we are proud to have him on our team.”
Bolt Ghana’s support and appreciation for their driver have made this a story worth celebrating, showing the positive ripple effects of one act of integrity.
