The Boston Celtics continued their quest to make a comeback against the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference finals as they levelled 3-3 after game 6.
The travellers got the heat on the host right from the first quarter as they dominated throughout, finishing the first quarter with 34 points and Jaylen Brown recording double digits 10. The Celtics maintained their momentum in the rest of the game, recording 23, 22, and 25 points to extend the Eastern Conference finals into game 7.
Jason Tatum’s 31 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 blocks. He joins Larry Bird as the only Celtics with double-digit 30/10/5 playoff games. However, the Game 6 hero was Derrick White, whose tip-in at the buzzer sends the series back to Boston for Game 7.
It was rather slow night for Jimmy Butler, and his teammates needed a win in the series to book the finals date with the Denver Nuggets. Game 7 is on Tuesday.
