Legendary Ghanaian boxer Azumah Nelson also known as “The Professor,” is celebrating his 65th birthday today.

Azumah is widely regarded as one of the greatest African boxers of all time, and his career achievements are a testament to his skill, determination, and perseverance.

He began his boxing career in 1979, and he quickly rose through the ranks. He won his first world title in 1984, when he defeated Salvador Sanchez to become the WBC featherweight champion. He went on to defend his title three times before losing it in 1987.

The ZumZum Professor then moved up to the super-featherweight division, where he won the WBC title twice. He retired from boxing in 2008 with a record of 38 wins, 6 losses, and 2 draws.

His boxing career was marked by many memorable moments. He was known for his intelligent ring strategy and his devastating punching power.

He also had a remarkable chin, and he was able to withstand some of the heaviest punches from his opponents.
