Award-winning music superstar, Damini Ogulu aka Burna Boy, has fallen off the stage during a performance again after 12 years.
Burna Boy, who was suspected to have been blinded by his shades during his performance, fell whilst performing his hit track ‘Like To Party’ at the 2012 edition of the Headies awards at the Eko Convention Centre.
The energetic performer was quick to return to the stage where he continued with his performance.
12 years after the epic fall off the stage, Burna Boy has fallen while performing his songs to a multitude of fans.
The fall, just like his first fall, has become the focal point of social media conversations that have gone viral.
Again, like the first fall at the Headies awards, the second fall took place during a YouTube Live concert held to celebrate the fifth anniversary of his breakthrough album, ‘African Giant.’
While performing his high-energy dance moves, the star lost his footing on one of the stage speakers and nearly tumbled into the iron railings below.
Thankfully, Burna Boy emerged unscathed, much to the relief of his fans.
However, unlike the first fall where he got to his feet and back on the stage all by himself, the second fall resulted in a brief pause in the concert as crew members assisted him back to his feet.
The concert was part of the celebrations for the fifth anniversary of African Giant, the album that catapulted Burna Boy to international fame and earned him his first Grammy nomination. The body of work solidified his status as a global music icon.
On Monday, July 29, Burna Boy announced the release of his eighth album.
