Black Stars and Hatayspor player Christian Atsu Twasam has been found alive after four hours of rescue operation in Turkey following a deadly earthquake on Monday, February 6.

According to reports gathered by 3news.com, Atsu was found with breathing difficulties and was taken straight to the hospital.

He is said to have sustained an injury to his right foot as well.

Sports website A Bola, which is getting its information mostly from former players of Portuguese Primeira, where Atsu featured for FC Porto, said several other players were rescued from the rubble.

However, the sporting director of Hatayspor, Taber Savut, and an interpreter are said to be still uncontactable.

So far, over 2,000 people have been confirmed dead from the 7.8 magnitude earthquake, which also hit Syria.
